In January of 2003, I took a job transcribing documentary footage for a production company, and as the project came to an end, I realized how much I enjoyed learning about a subject that I knew almost nothing about. I wondered if there might be a larger market for transcription services, so I decided to take a chance and start my own company.
I was quite surprised by how quickly the business grew. Before I knew it more work was coming in than I could handle on my own, so I slowly started to build out our team. I found that our customers genuinely loved the high quality of our transcripts and continually referred new customers to us.
In the fall of 2005, we moved into new office space in Santa Monica. Three years later, we needed to move to an even larger office to accommodate our growing team. We’ve continued to provide transcription services for our customers, yet we have also grown additional services that help our customers share their stories.
